I loved this book!!By Paul LI was born in 43 and my mother was born in 05 the eldest daughter to a farming family on the Osage river which was to be come the lake of the ozarks. I grew up on the lake. Iifeguarded in the state park for two years. Mom and Dad had property that went all the way to lake level not just 660. I have been in all of the towns in the book. Im very glad that you had some old pictures in in book; Mom always talked of chimney rock and lovers leap. But I couldnt see them because they were under water. I sold the property in 94 and when I went down to close; I was glad that was my last trip to the lake. It was not the same place.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I told him let me see if has this book. In three days the book was in his hands; you should have seen the look in his eyes. Thanks
