Creating a wash; effects of salt or alcohol applied to watercolor; and blending of the primaries. This "little" (as in very few pages-but the cost reflects this) book walks you through Joes thought process on choosing watercolors; brushes; paper; and how he lays out his color selections on his palette. This book is designed with the complete beginner in mind and how to get started. Just know that this is a technique book and NOT a step-by-step painting book - there are no complete paintings to work on; but a discussion of a specific technique with a picture that shows the result.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
