Established in 1757; Silver Spring Township is the fourth-oldest township in Cumberland County. The area was founded by the Scots-Irish; who cleared the area for farming and built taverns; inns; and mercantile businesses. Eventually; the villages of Hogestown and New Kingstown were established; these two villages are still home to many township residents. Rich in history; Silver Spring is home to the Silver Spring Presbyterian Church; the oldest church west of the Susquehanna River. Between 2012 and 2013; Silver Spring Township was the fourth-largest growing township in Pennsylvania. What were once heavily traveled Native American trails have become well-traveled highways and byways; and within a few hours; travelers can be in New York City; Philadelphia; Baltimore; and Washington; DC. Through vintage photographs; Silver Spring Township shares and celebrates the history of this well-preserved community.

Recommended!By Craig MattesonThis is a collection of very nice contemporary arrangements and medleys of familiar Christmas songs. The accompaniments are interesting; original; and fun to play and require some ability to perform well. The vocal parts are well placed and familiar. I recommend it without hesitation. You will want two copies. One for the accompanist and the other for the vocalist. My only concerning note is that the printing is sometimes a bit wavy in a note or bar. It is not as visually crisp and clean as it might be. I am NOT saying it is poorly done or hard to read; but that OCCASIONALLY the music makes me think there is something wrong with my eyes when it is the page.I have the medium low voice and I think it also comes in medium high. I am unaware of any other vocal ranges.Recommended!Craig Matteson; Saline; MI0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. my favorite Mark Hayes songbookBy CustomerMark Hayes is an amazing composer. I have many of his songbooks for voice and piano. However; this Christmas songbook is perhaps my favorite! Un fambeau Jeanette Isabella and Sing Joy are two great arrangements among others. I like Sing Joy because it is a medley of various Christmas songs. If you get this book; I highly recommend making sure you buy the one with the accompanying CD as it is helpful to sing along with. It does take some time to really listen to the arrangement on the CD as sometimes the CD will slow down musically. It just takes some practice to become more familiar with it.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Not clear as to content.By Lotts of buyingI have ordered many CDs that go with sheet music books but this is not what I am accustomed to.My CD ONLY had the accompaniments. I assumed I would hear performances and accompaniments but there are no performances on my CD. The names of the singers are even printed on the label! On closer examination the description of the item states accompaniments OR performances...I didnt see anyplace to choose "accompaniments or performances" so I am lucky I got the choice I would have made...if it had been clear to me where to choose. Maybe I just missed where I was to make the choice??
