AMAZING photography - FABULOUS photographerBy BenitaStacy is absolutely one of the best combat photographers ever; (Which is of course why she has won Combat photographer of the year twice; the only woman to ever do so.) Her photographs are intuitive; emotional and straight to the heart of the issue. While most people might think of combat photography as all gore; this book will prove that it is not that; but real people doing a very hard job in very difficult situations. Looking at her work makes me appreciate our military men and women even more.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great Book....Great ShooterBy SissyBoyI was an Air Force photographer; served in Vietham; and two tours as an instructor in the AIr Force photograph school. When I was in Nam I shot with Nikon cameras and TriX and Ektachrome film. Never was able to shoot as much as I wanted due to lack of film. Kept saying to myself as I read her work "Yes; that is the way it was/is."Met her husband; Andy; in Fort Worth a few months ago and he is a great shooter also; works for Nikon now.Jerry DayMSgt USAF Retired1959-19811 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A Great Book for Any PhotographerBy DesolaStacy has given us the honor to have a glimpse into what it is like to be a combat photographer. I had tears going through this book; but I also had many smiles. This book is powerful not only in the words; but in the photographs as each one tells a story. Even for the photographs; I suggest this book to any photographer or really anyone in general. I had the great privilege to intern for this great photographer; as she is one of the strongest women I still know in my life. Thank You; Stacy Pearsall; for creating this book and sharing this part of your life with the world.
