If you are looking for a condensed history of Detroits beer industry and information about Detroits present craft brewhouses; buy this book. If you are seeking a more thorough history of Detroits beer industry; buy the late Peter Blums excellent "Brewed in Detroit: Breweries and Beers since 1830." I have them both and use the latter as my main source of information about Detroits beer industry from its inception through the sale of the Stroh Brewery in 1999.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Lack of modern-day fact-checkingBy Jeff RobinsonA book which is factually incorrect. Researched through cursory Google searches. As an owner who is mis-named in the book because the writer relied on incorrect syndicated print media for facts; it would have been nice to actually meet the guy who was writing this book. Cant recommend it.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A great Christmas presentBy KarenBought this for my husband for Christmas. He thinks it is great. Especially enjoyed the pictures and the history of the beer companies. He thought it was well written.
