Author Daniel Sterner delves into the history of Hartford with tours from Bushnell Park to Asylum Hill and through Frog Hollow. Makes you think about how much you need to structure your own life and would be a good example for young girls to better behaveBy Kathleen I OgleI remember this book was on my eighth grade reading list and approved for young readers. I read it then and decided to re-read it now in my 60rsquo;s. The reason I gave it 5 stars is that Irsquo;m rating it as a must read for all reader including young readers. No sex or violence but a very intense book based on the true story of a Russian Ballerina. Makes you think about how much you need to structure your own life and would be a good example for young girls to better behave and stay focused if they want to succeed. Anna goes to the extreme; but shows us how even in her most tyrant moods she remains kind and generous to the poor; the common people and true to her friends. The author writes in an easy to read format. Although this is not a thrilling page-turning book; the author keeps you wanting to read more and to continue on the exciting and almost unbelievable journey that Anna takes. Irsquo;m not sure todayrsquo;s super hero could take on the dangerous risks that Anna took in her life and I commend the author for taking us on this journey without compromising her writing style.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
