Danny returns from Basra to a foreign England and a different kind of battle. He visits an old flame; buys a gun and goes on a blistering road trip through the new home front. I dont blame the war. The war was alright. I miss it. Its just you come back to this. Written during the London bombings of 2005; Motortown is a fierce; violent and controversial response to the anti-war movement - and to the war itself. Chaotic and complex; powerful and provocative; Simon Stephens new play portrays a volatile and morally insecure world. Motortown premieres at the Royal Court Theatre on 21 April 2006. It follows the critically acclaimed On the Shore of the Wide World (Manchester Royal Exchange/National Theatre); winner of the Olivier Award for Best New Play (2005).

PtrsI know how to make my own patterns; but it takes a lot of time. So; I bought this book with hopes that I can learn about a new technique. Big mistake... This book is for people who have never seen a yard of fabric in their lives - Im not even saying its for beginners; its probably for little girls who want to make dresses for their dollies. The garment styles they include do not even look nice - dont let the cover fool you. If you know a thing or two about working with a pattern; please do not waste your money on this book. I wanted to return it; however; 5 bucks I will get in return after I pay for shipping will not even be worth the gas I spend to go to the post office.6 of 7 people found the following review helpful. Excellent resource and ideas for beginner and experienced seamstresses.By EleriIve read the book and sewn one project. I think it is a very clear sewing book perfect for beginners and experienced seamstresses.Ive enjoyed reading through the book and planning projects. So far Ive made one project (the Asymmetrical Ruffle Skirt pictured below) and am very happy with the results. It was quick to get my pattern pieces ready and quick to piece. I like that the book includes tips for sewing by measurement for women as well as girls since you need to take different things into account.
