John William Navin Sullivan (1886-1937); was a popular science writer and literary journalist as well as this title he wrote some of the earliest non-technical accounts of Einsteinrsquo;s General Theory of Relativity; and was known personally to many important writers in London in the 1920s; including Aldous Huxley; John Middleton Murry; Wyndham Lewis and T. S. Eliot. This is unlike any other music biography you will read. It is not a linear life history; nor does it focus primarily on musical quotations. It digs deeply into Beethovens spirit and tries to grasp what made him so special. Many of the earliest books; particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before; are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. Hesperides Press are republishing these classic works in affordable; high quality; modern editions; using the original text and artwork.

The author and photographer also cover the BP oil spill and hurricanes Katrina and Rita. This book takes the reader to many tourist attractions such as heritage-type museums in Louisiana. Every book lover in Louisiana should own this volume. And to have a better picture of Louisiana culture and issues on coastal erosion. you need to also read Mr. Brasseauxs book "Aint There No More. Louisianas Disappearing Coastal Plain".8 of 8 people found the following review helpful. Lovely story of AcadianaBy D. RodneyThis is a lovely book. Not just a pretty face!By Judy LogueThe pictures of the Acadiana area are lovely. and I initially purchased the book as a pictorial addition to the coffee table. but text is outstanding. It is well researched and could become tedious reading but for the gorgeous photos. It is one of the best histories of the area I have read. and I am a Cajun from right there. It greatly exceed my expectations.
