I was curious and I am happy I read the book. although it is not as grand as Patrick Bruels character makes you believe. Still a good classic to put under your belt. In a nutshell. I would say this book illustrates some peoples inability to ever be satisfied. to find happiness and content. I am quite grateful to have the opportunity to read this forgotten classic in the original. Trop preacute;visible et il y a toujours quelquun qui finit mal comme dans "La Dame aux Cameacute;lias" d Alexandre Dumas.
