With eight Grammy nominations and sales of over 4.5 million; Ani DiFranco is one of Americarsquo;s most fiercely independent and beloved musicians; as well as an outspoken voice of conscience. For the first time; she releases a book of poetry and paintings; capturing her essential artistry that has helped define and invigorate a new generation. Ani DiFranco: Verses rages; eulogizes; menaces; revels; and envisions. With a poetrsquo;s precision and a citizenrsquo;s stake; DiFranco finds the meeting places of intimacy and politics; of self and country; of resolve and compromise; and of the fickle and magnificent capacities of love and solitude.

Mainly about Beatles and immediate post-Beatles life.0 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Five StarsBy MattGift Receiver loved it.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Written for the Money?By C. MCLEANFor me. this wasnt a well-written book. For a start. Shapiro. at the time of writing this book. hadnt mastered the English verb. Regularly throughout the book. his use of verb tenses is bad enough to be confusing. Where was his editor? Secondly. its shot through with his unsubstantiated or unexplained personal opinions - about Georges spiritual practice. his personality. and his substance-taking. He didnt leave me assured that his opinons could be relied on as being well-researched.
