War is a very serious action that affects not only the men and women who are in he middle of the struggle but the people supporting them. The artist have a huge job of translating the emotions of the struggle into a visial dimension. Not always an east task but I think the book shows that their efforts were well shown to be successful. Artistic works should not be gendered. but on this occasion it shows the strength of the women art works represented. I am sure it was a cost issue. Great job by the authors researching and interviewing.
