FascinatingBy Lexjust completely fascinating to see how much different the really rich are;Okay; she buys this amazing property on the California coastline and then converts the entire property; grounds included; to look like an old New England Mill. She got them digging and moving earth around and around over and over until it just perfect for her. Put in stone walls; take em down; put in ponds; make it look like theyve always been here. the house; its so huge and no one lives really lives in it. She lives in a second smaller house on the property. OMG youve just got to see what she did in her "basement" She builds a replica of a little mall with storefronts and shops. A Beautiful book!By charles mostertI loved Barbaras book! Shes quite a woman and a helluva designer. But would I want to be any part of that designing process if I had the know how for it; NEVER! Barbara knows what she wants! And that you will find out immediately at the beginning of the book when you see her various notes she has made to the carpenters about either where she wants something to go or if you did something wrong; etc. You are not going to change her mind about anything even if you think that your idea would make more sense. She wants what she wants and thats that. And on one hand I understand. Look at all the money she has. Why should she settle for things that wont make her happy when she can afford to have the things that will make her happy? However; Barbara is a perfectionist and that could drive just about anyone insane!
