This second edition of TIPS: The Child Voice was prepared in response to demand for an updated and expanded version of the highly successful 1997 edition. This edition takes into account the broadening base of information regarding the nature of the singing voice. Now with strategies for the voice in transition during early adolescence; as well as strategies; games and activities to nurture the voice in early childhood; youll find more suggestions for selecting materials and more recommended sources and resources. Also new are sample materials and activities; but youll still find TIPS to use in student portfolios. These ideas; culled from scholars and experienced teachers; should prove useful to not only music educators; but also early childhood specialists; middle school teachers; and everyone working with students during those critical times of development of our natural instrument . . . the singing voice.

What a delight to see this on my PC!!!! wow. yes in colour!By starfishWho knew? i thought oh great this hard copy costs a zillion dollars. not exactly in my budget at the moment. But wait! what about the Kindle. So i got the kindle copy and started looking at the book on my PC. HA! Surprise! Yes. you do see all the paintings in colour!!!This may not be the Techno stuff that beginner artists say they need like what colour to mix with what (which any teacher will tell you is not what you need anyway)... but i recommend this to anyone who even had a tiny inkling of painting (even if all you ever painted was your porch).Gorgeous! And. you know the best part? this is a magical fulfillment of my artist dream. to be able to "visit" with the author. to see how they painted. what they saw. who and what they experienced. This book is that. the real secrets behind the painting. the what you really pour onto the canvas. Peeking into her world - well. its a world i never knew existed. And it makes me think. maybe mine (to someone else) is just as magical. What a beautiful thing to share. thank you Mary. your paintings and story are magic.Woohoo! im hooked. (thank you Jeff B and your wonder team).1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
