I have never had so many emails bounce back as undeliverable and so many producers telling me that Mr. So-and-so is no longer with the company. I cannot comment on the accuracy of the phone numbers because I just use email; but I cannot imagine the average is much higher on those. I recommend any other option but this. I paid $10 for the Kindle version. I would be irate if I had paid the full $50. This should be a $.99 Kindle ebook. This is obviously no substitute for the now defunct HCD. Former Hollywood Creative Directory at a reasonable price on KindleBy Martha HumphreysAs a former writer/producer in SoCal; our company kept up to date as to who went where in order to be competitive in "The Biz". As an escapee who keeps her fingertips in "the Industry" I was curious about the current scene and where my old contacts were now. (Forest Glen :) )The information is accurate and as up to date as is possible when Hollywood people change jobs as often as they change their shoes; and since the paper version is not available anywhere but the Writers Store (and at a ridiculous price; due to lack of demand for a paper product) this is the version to buy.BTW; for the wannabe; novice there is a section on scriptwriting basics that covers the topic adequately so that any submission looks professional---which is a VERY BIG PLUS...as is the indication whether the producers accept unsolicited ms.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Information on Hollywood screenwriting buyers is okay but should be more helpful in listing what kinds of screenplays they are interested in...only about half list this info. If they dont want to list this info they should not be listed. This would make the directory much more valuable and less trouble making judgements about who to submit to. THERE ARE A LOT OF PRODUCERS LISTED AS ACCEPTING NON-PUBLISHED AUTHORS WHICH ARE INCORRECT...I HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL LETTERS FROM LAWYERS MAKING THIS CLEAR. WHOSE MISTAKE IS THIS - THE LISTING PRODUCERS OR THE EDITORS? THERE ARE ENOUGH OF THESE TO MAKE THIS DIRECTORY UNTRUSTWORTHY.
