Monkeys are fascinating creatures in the sense that they have several familiar characteristics. The theory of evolution even states that we evolved from them. Learning about monkeys will help a child better understand Darwins theory; and decide whether he/she would believe in it or not. Colorful and well-formatted; this educational book is definitely a must-have!

JohnsonLike all the books in this series there is a collection of adequately reproduced black-and-white photos covering the indicated topic. In this particular book like other books in this series by Springirth the pictures tend to have more contrast than desired. This volume; however; is much better in this regard than the authors volume on the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad; which is notoriously bad. Now as far as coverage goes it is quite good covering New York Central; Pennsylvania Railroad; Erie Railroad; Nickel Plate; Norfolk and Western and the Bessemer. Coverage of the Pennsylvania Railroad is excellent for the Erie Mainline from Erie to Corry and the Chautaqua Branch that ran from Oil City North to Brocton; NY. The Erie and Pittsburgh Branch that ran north from New Castle and joined the NYC west of Girard gets scant coverage; however. For the other mentioned railroads the coverage is consistently good. Although I am mostly interested in Erie County; PA proper it should be noted that lines in Warren County and Crawford County are discussed as well. Overall this is one of my favorites in the series Images of Rail because it is so close to home (my home town is Erie; Pa). I wish though that the reproduction would be better and (Im dreaming) in a larger format so that more detail could be seen in the pictures.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
