I lived in Madeira from age 16 to 26; and never really knew much about its past. Many of the photos are from the Madeira Historical Society; and likely easy to see by visiting their museum; but it seems that the authors dug up some great stuff from area churches; Madeira City Schools; families with deep roots in Madeira; the fire department; and many other sources.
