I get great pleasure in playing these beginning intermediate Christmas songs that he and his collaborators have arranged. Instead of the simple melodies in the hymns book; you can play an easy; yet unusual chord combinations that he has put together. My husband is amazed at how lovely they sound. I assure him that these songs are quite simple to play; but he says they sound full and complex. I only play the piano for myself. I would never dream of playing so anyone but my husband could hear; but these songs are so well arranged that you just cannot stop yourself from playing them over and over. I had to make myself but them away after the holidays. I took piano lessons as a child for about 5 or 6 years and Im really not very good; but this songs are written especially for people like me! I have ordered just about everything that Jerry Ray has written. I love them all.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Not just Jerry Ray arrangementsBy Mona PettyI was pretty disappointed when this arrived. I have another Jerry Ray book that I LOVE; but either did not look closely enough; or it didnt say; that this is a compilation collection. Some of the arrangements are pretty poorly arranged. The pieces are also too easy for me. Fortunately; I have several students who play at this level; and it REALLY would make a nice gift :D I; however; will be looking for arrangements by Jerry Ray; and only Jerry Ray next time.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
