Its basically a multi-medium art course that creates art with Photoshop as the main tool. Whatever art I create is strictly done with photography which is fundamentally an image recording medium. You can create art by setting up elaborate sets which is beyond the technical and financial means of many or you can manipulate basic photos with Photoshop. The latter is where this book shines. Clear instructions are provided to use the multiple creativity tools designed by those Adobe geniuses. Many art examples are provided for inspiration even though your art tastes may differ. Many of the examples no longer look like they started as photos...this is why this book is fun. Here you have basic instruction to use the various Photoshop tools; but final creativity is still up to you. JennerIf I could ever pull enough students together in this isolated area to offer an Int/Adv Photoshop class; this might be the book Id go with. Very creative and beautiful work. There are many approaches on Photoshop use and unfortunately; many end badly. Heres a smart way to go about making fine art. They got the title right. This is worthwhile. Im still digesting; lots to read here; beautiful imagery. This is inspiring and thats what I was looking for. If you like Maggie Taylors work; this is along those same lines; very cool stuff.
