The drawings are from the southwest and other parts of the world and I know where many of them are located. The re-created sketches are very accurate and nice to have as a reference due to the aging of many petroglyphs. I learned many new things I was curious about. Good book but rather academic.By David LauxWe bought this book as a gift for someone who is fascinated with Kokopellis thinking it would give a good history and be accompanied by some lovely rock art photos. It does accomplish that - but is not really a book for a casual reader. It is very informative but was rather academic and dry. I really would have rated it 3.5.
