[audiobook] Bass Scale Finder: Easy-to-Use Guide to Over 1;300 Scales by Chad Johnson in Arts-Photography

Description

From the school yards of the South Bronx to the tops of the Billboard charts; rap has emerged as one of the most influential cultural forces of our time. In The Anthology of Rap; editors Adam Bradley and Andrew DuBois demonstrate that rap is also a wide-reaching and vital poetic tradition born of beats and rhymes. This pioneering anthology brings together more than three hundred lyrics written over thirty years; from the ldquo;old schoolrdquo; to the ldquo;golden agerdquo; to the present day. Rather than aim for encyclopedic coverage; Bradley and DuBois render through examples the richness and diversity of raprsquo;s poetic tradition. They feature both classic lyrics that helped define the genre; including Grandmaster Flash the Furious Fiversquo;s ldquo; The Messagerdquo; and Eric B. Rakimrsquo;s ldquo;Microphone Fiend;rdquo; as well as lesser-known gems like Blackaliciousrsquo;s ldquo;Alphabet Aerobicsrdquo; and Jean Graersquo;s ldquo;Haterrsquo;s Anthem.rdquo; Both a fanrsquo;s guide and a resource for the uninitiated; The Anthology of Rap showcases the inventiveness and vitality of raprsquo;s lyrical art. The volume also features an overview of rap poetics and the forces that shaped each period in raprsquo;s historical development; as well as a foreword by Henry Louis Gates; Jr.; and afterwords by Chuck D and Common. Enter the Anthology to experience the full range of raprsquo;s artistry and discover a rich poetic tradition hiding in plain sight.

Look Out Grisman Here I Go!By CustomerPretty comprehensive presentation of all available scales: IDPLMAL. harmonic minor. melodic minor. whole tone. diminished scales! The only thing that could make it better is instruction on fingering. You are left to your own devices on that. Its 6X9" format could stand to go 8X11" but its completely legible as is. Can also be used. as I do. for learning scale shapes for tenor guitar and as a layman fiddler with poor music notation reading skills.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Tiny images. tiny type. lots of informationBy 12345This book is small. therefore very easy to cary. but it is like it was shrunk down. Both the images and type are extremely difficult to make out. even if if your eyes are close to 20/20. The information is nice to have on hand.
