It also contains material on the English AC movement; which preceded it. Mostly what one hears of today is the Mission style; and it was fascinating to learn of the many other versions; too. I dont really care for the AC revival stuff going on nowadays. The modern homes dont quite "fit" with the period AC furniture and decorations. It reminds me of a relative of mine; who lives in a modern; executive-style McMansion--filled to the brim with Victorian antiques. Clash; clash; clash! For those interested in the people and underlying ideas of the AC movemtn; I heartily recommend this book.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
