Jewish art and visual culturemdash;art made by Jews about Jewsmdash;in modern diasporic settings is the subject of Looking Jewish. Carol Zemel focuses on particular artists and cultural figures in interwar Eastern Europe and postwar America who blended Jewishness and mainstream modernism to create a diasporic art; one that transcends dominant national traditions. She begins with a painting by Ken Aptekar entitled Albert: Used to Be Abraham; a double portrait of a man; which serves to illustrate Zemels conception of the doubleness of Jewish diasporic art. She considers two interwar photographers; Alter Kacyzne and Moshe Vorobeichic; images by the Polish writer Bruno Schulz; the pre- and postwar photographs of Roman Vishniac; the figure of the Jewish mother in postwar popular culture (Molly Goldberg); and works by R. B. Kitaj; Ben Katchor; and Vera Frenkel that explore Jewish identity in a postmodern environment.

I found a couple off notes; but its also difficult to keep an 8:00 song to a couple pages; so I think they make some exceptions and get the general groove/note choice. I like it so far. Plenty of songs to choose from!4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. A lot of fun!By Bobby GregoryGeddy Lee is one of the true masters of the bass and this book is a great way to venture into his world. Having the lyrics along with the tab are a great help for bassists having trouble finding their way. While this book wont make you play like Geddy; it will make it possible to play along and have some fun at the same time.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. This is a really great collection of RUSH songs and the bass riffs that Geddy plays are extremely difficult to learn my ear. Thanks for making this.
