The language here is not for the faint of heart; however; it is more analytical and arguably unapproachable for less academically inclined readers. Traveling through the Kashmir Valley as I read this book; it has been helpful in understanding how and why things are presented in particular ways. Note that the Kindle version is poorly formatted (what are presumably footnotes appear as solid numbers; unlinkable; and detract from the text).
