Over the last decade a number of prison theatre programs have developed to rehabilitate inmates by having them perform Shakespearean adaptations. This book focuses on how prison theatre today reveals certain elements of the early modern theatre that were themselves responses to cataclysmic changes in theological doctrine and religious practice.

Her stories about the reality of being on the recieving end of Stevie Nicks jealousy and petty behavior bummed me out though. It was hard to listen to any Fleetwood Mac or Stevie songs for a while after this. Very interesting -- my only concern is that Carol Ann portrays herself in such an unrealistically Pollyanna way that the book would benefit from her own admissions of shortcomings just to balance it all out. The authors memory and honesty are questionable.By CustomerI was disappointed after finding so many inaccuracies while fact-checking the claims made in the book. The most glaring example is the one where Lindsey supposedly proposed to Carol at a gala in Washington; D.C. that was hosted by Jimmy Carters chief of staff Hamilton Jordan. After doing a Google search; I found out that event took place on August 1; 1978. But heres the thing: Lindsey was not even at that gala. According to the Washington Post; the only Fleetwood Mac members there were Christine; John; and Mick. Lindsey had (in John McVies words) almost died 2 days earlier after choking on his tongue during a seizure hours before a concert in Philadelphia. After that concert; Lindsey was admitted to a hospital for tests so was on bed rest the night of the gala.Also; the author had the dates wrong in many instances. One example is when she said she was lying in bed with Lindsey in her new apartment that she claimed to have moved into in the beginning of February; and at that point in time "Rumours" was due to be released in a month. "Rumours" was released on February 4; which means she would have had to have moved into her new place in the beginning of January. She said John McVie married Julie Reubens on June 1; 1978; but People magazine had the date as April 19; 1978.Other things that left doubt in my mind about the authors credibility were the places and incidents that couldnt be verified with an online search; like the hospital she said she stayed at for her panic attacks (Ridge Hospital in Beverly Hills); or the murder of that hospitals administrator.These and other examples lead me to wonder if her account of the events is reliable or if some parts of the book are pure fabrications.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. it kept me readingBy Colleen MilazzoPoor Carol; being Lindseys rebound from the one and only Stevie Nicks is a hard challenge. But she lived and loved and told her tale and showed us the inner circle of the Mac. A band of creative and talented people who succumbed to the perils of rock and roll but hey; that is what makes the best music!She makes Lindsey appear so needy and selfish. How sad that she willingly gave her life up to be at his beck and call. I love both Lindsey and Stevie since the awesome Buckingham Nicks era and also love the Mac so I found the book an interesting read although I wouldnt call it an intellectual one. I think Id like to know how Lindsey felt about this book. I think die hard Mac fans will read this and sift through what may or may not want to believe and create their only Crystal MacVision.
