Review
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Another puzzle pieceBy S. DeeringThis is only the 2nd book on Suiseki I have read. It is a great resource because it contains a comprehensive list of other texts. It has a useful chart that summarizes the information provided on the differences between Japanese. Chinese. and Korean viewing stone practices. I learned that Americans are not necessarily following the restrictive elements of Japanese suiseki. that our native viewing stone characteristics fit the Korean art of stone appreciation better. The glossary of photos at the end contains a great variety of U.S. stones. I can recommend it if you are collecting books on suiseki. but not as the be-all and end-all of such books.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Pretty picturesBy TCM MomI enjoyed this. coming to it with some understanding of Japanese. Korean and Chinese viewing stones. It has lovely pictures. It is not really an in depth look at any of the three sources.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Five StarsBy CustomerJust wish there was more.
