Biloxi RediscoveredBy TILEI grew up in Biloxi and things have definitely changed since then. Each time I visit. there is something grander and newer that attracts more tourist. However. I still remember when all you could do was go fishing. hang out in the beach. and play bumper cars at Fun Time USA. That was my childhood. With this book. I rediscovered Biloxi. Things I drove past over the years. suddenly have an interesting story behind them.Thank you to the authors. Jamie Bounds and Jane Shambra. for creating such a wonderful book. Its amazing these photos survived the hurricane. since I know the main library suffered great damage. Not only is the book a showcase for the rest of the world to gain insight to Biloxi. it is also a nice little reminder of how special a city it is for the people who live there. Im looking forward to seeing more! The book sits on my coffee table here in Memphis. As guests come over. they cant help but notice it and pick it up. It gives me an opportunity to tell my friends about where I grew up and that its much more than giant casinos and buffets. (Although those are nice too. LOL)
