Birmingham's Highland Park

[ebooks] Birmingham's Highland Park by Richard Dabney at Arts-Photography

Description

Postcard photographers traveled the length and breadth of the nation snapping photographs of busy street scenes; documenting local landmarks; and assembling crowds of neighborhood children only too happy to pose for a picture. These images; printed as postcards and sold in general stores across the country; survive as telling reminders of an important era in Americas history.

What a treasure this book is. Living in such a culturally diverse neighborhood really helped influence the way I live now. The book delves into the past of the homes apartment buildings I used see in my neighborhood. Richards research and accompanying photos made the book a joy to peruse. I keep this book out on my coffee table in my home to show all of my California friends. If you ever knew this neighborhood or had the privilege to live there. youll enjoy it as well0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A Different review of BirminghamBy J. P. Siragusa.
