[ebooks] Bodies of Pain: Suffering in the Works of Hartmann von Aue (Studies in Medieval History and Culture) by Scott E. Pincikowski in Arts-Photography

Description

All in all this would be a great book for Civil War buffs to take along on ...By GooseThis is a very well composed collection of Michigan Civil War landmarks although it is not exhaustive in that I am aware of three monuments in my home county that are not listed. Both authors appear to have roots in the south eastern part of the state as that portion of the text is far more extensive than any other section of the state (roughly half the book). All in all this would be a great book for Civil War buffs to take along on Michigan road trips to identify points of interest on their trips.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Civil War enthusiasts will love this bookBy KirstenI never realized Michigan had such a rich history! Civil War enthusiasts will love this book. Its so informative and the way its organized lets people look for Civil War landmarks in their own areas; or en route if theyre traveling; both in Michigan and other states. The pictures and short stories by each landmark bring the reality of each honored person and/or location to life. My husband and I are planning to take a day trip down to lower Michigan this summer; and we definitely plan to stop by the landmarks as they are laid out in Karins book.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
