Bonnie Clyde (Oberon Modern Plays)

[ePub] Bonnie Clyde (Oberon Modern Plays) by Adam Peck in Arts-Photography

Description

In the years of reconstruction and economic boom that followed the Second World War; the domestic sphere encountered new expectations regarding social behaviour; modes of living; and forms of dwelling. This book brings together an international group of scholars from architecture; design; urban planning; and interior design to reappraise mid-twentieth century modern life; offering a timely reassessment of culture and the economic and political effects on civilian life. This collection contains essays that examine the material of art; objects; and spaces in the context of practices of dwelling over the long span of the postwar period. It asks what role material objects; interior spaces; and architecture played in quelling or fanning the anxieties of modernism’s ordinary denizens; and how this role informs their legacy today.

They have them in the first page that supose to be set in 1932 as Bonnie already hurt using morphine and calling Clyde Daddy. It was Blanch who called Buck Daddy cause he as a bit older than her. She pointed that out in her book.1 of 5 people found the following review helpful. CrapBy TeehlaIts a short play when I ordered it. said nothing about being a play... I spent more money hoping it would be a new book about them than anybook I already have or bought... IM A HUGE BONNIE AND CLYDE FAN and Im pretty ticked off right now.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Spare and theatricalBy Michelle CarterThe other two reviews of this play so far are just goofy. Yes. its a play. I just saw a beautiful. sexy production of it in San Francisco. The playwright isnt entering the world of the play sensationally. hes entering it poetically. Silences. wordless movement. powerful images. and strange spare moving exchanges between two notorious murderers near the end of their lives.
