An Important Book for People Who Believe Theyre Creative and Even More Important for Those Who Dont!By AMOKArtsAnyone who has read my blog (AMOKArts.com) would know this is a book that is right up my alley; using creativity in ministry and as such; this book surely does not disappoint. While this book is great for creatives; there is another group that could probably use this book even more and that is people who do not believe they are creative. Dedmon tears down so many of the walls people build around their own creativity. I have always believed myself to be a creative and truthfully this book even felt liberating to me.There is a wealth of information here from someone who is at the forefront of creative ministry and everyone could be blessed by reading it. I think at the ore of the message of this book is the idea that creativity is a gift from God that can; and must be used; in a multitude of ways to the glory of God and for His Kingdom. You were born to create. If you donrsquo;t believe that; you need to read this book and if you do believe it; read it anyway; it will spur you on to even greater love and good deeds.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. YES! I CAN DO IT!By Debra BrandWhat an inspiring book! I cant wait to finish it because what Ive read so far has inspired me to create. We were definitely born to create because we were made by the Ultimate Creator! The book is easy to comprehend and read. The author doesnt just focus on painting or writing; but on trades that you wouldnt necessarily think of as art; i.e. culinary skills. It will help you to take that inherent desire within your heart and hone it into a creative and maybe lucrative expression of yourself into an artistry of creativity.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Very good book; large amounts of italic text made for difficult readingBy MickeyEnjoyed the book; its full of meaty help and great information. Highly recommended.Just one thing bothered me; that might not bother anyone else. I enjoy reading; and generally read 3-4 books a month. I was excited about the topic of the book and saw the author on a TV program; so I was really looking forward to reading it. Being a graphic designer; and more specifically a book designer; I noticed immediately that an unusually large portion of the text in this book was typeset in italic. Italic should be used sparingly in a book; to provide emphasis to important passages of text. Having so much more italic than usual made it very hard for me to read; and it took a lot longer than it should have. I found it to be visually distracting. Another reviewer commented that it was hard to concentrate while reading. Perhaps this is why?
