Thank you Robert McDougall et al!!By John CartaAs a former resident of Portland since 1938 I am grateful that this history of Portland has been published. Especially to see my grandparents home on lower Main street. Also the lower part of Perry Ave where I grew up.Thank you all so much for your efforts.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Portland HistoryBy Wilson HorneHard book to get a hold of. Finally got my own copy after a cursory look at someone elses. Loved the old pictures; especially of the brownstone quarry operations and the boatyards. There were also 4 pictures of my house around the turn of the century during a parade; the old Goodrich house. Love the book.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
