Questa pubblicazione nasce; su richiesta degli attuali proprietari; per ricostruire la storia di un dipinto: una copia della ldquo;Madonna del Granducardquo;; celebre opera del pittore Raffaello Sanzio esposta oggi a nella Galleria Palatina; a Firenze.Ad alcuni potrebbe sembrare strano voler studiare le vicende di una semplice riproduzione ma; questa in particolare; ha avuto una vita decisamente movimentata e si egrave; trovata al centro di vicende legali e dibattiti che hanno fatto molto discutere lrsquo;ambiente dei Beni Culturali italiano arrivando ad essere considerata; in alcuni casi; un originale capolavoro rinascimentale.I proprietari hanno quindi deciso; per renderle onore; di riassumere le ldquo;disavventurerdquo; di questrsquo;opera che; fino ad ora; erano raccolte in una montagna disordinata di fascicoli.Per fare questo hanno messo a disposizione tutta la documentazione in loro possesso la quale; una volta riordinata e analizzata; ha consentito di ricostruire gli avvenimenti relativi a questo dipinto a partire dal momento in cui egrave; entrato in possesso della loro famiglia; nel 1931; fino ad oggi.Inoltre si sono affidati alle moderne tecniche diagnostiche per sfatare in maniera inequivocabile ogni mito che era stato costruito circa la paternitagrave; del quadro.

Had her book title accidentally been placed on some other novelette? (The title of the story only makes sense at the end.)Where most of Gaskells plots utilize natural means to move the story; this one is anchored in the supernatural. There is a copious amount of backstory before the reader arrives at an explanation that employs no little amount of religious mysticism. Id liken the storys resolution to a scene from Les Miserables for all of its pathos. I suppose it will please some readers; but I was disappointed.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
