General history book - snipitsBy mitzi357Great general history of the area; told in snippits as in news articles.Author is familiar with the areas in question; has actually been there and done interviews; and has done a lot of research to try to get things right. In one case; a bit deeper research could have been done rather than taking prior books on the subject as correctly factual.The writing is well developed; easy to follow; well organized; and a boon to anyone wanting a quick history of the area. I found it refreshing; and the viewpoint of a newcomer to the area was well taken.
