5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. But for errata would be five starsBy Pat TrentIm enjoying this book. but I must give it only 4 stars (rather than 5) due to the typos/errata. So far. when coming across the errors I was able to spot them by either looking at the camera itself or taking a few test shots. For example. on page 59 the writer states that the "DRIVE" mode button is on the right side of the "SET" button on the back of camera. when in fact its on the left side as you face the SET button or the back of the camera. Yes. you can spot this type of error merely by looking at the camera (or photos of it). but in my opinion. this type of error should have been caught by the proof-readers and the errors elsewhere in the book which are not so obvious tend to undermine ones confidence in the rest of the information or advice given by the author. So buy the book. but be sure to check things for yourself as youre becoming familiar with all the features and operations of this great camera.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Not the Best Book AvailableBy Jeff SwitzerI bought the Digital Field Guide and the "Canon EOS Rebel T4i/650D For Dummies" at the same time when I bought my Canon T4i (which is a GREAT camera. now its the very similar Canon T5i).The Dummies book is far better because it includes much more information directly aimed at the Canon 4Ti. The Dummies book explains everything about the Canon 4Ti in depth. The Field Guide is more general and even then is not very helpful in explaining digital photography. It turns out that this should be required reading for everyone who purchases a high end camera.The book is packed with tips and tricks for both the novice and expert photographer. Several hands-on examples takes you through a step-by-step guide on how to operate and care for your new Canon T4i. I had also purchased this for my old Canon XTi and it is amazing how much has changed since then.With a book like this youll want to have fun and experiment with all the lenses. lighting and subjects that are available.
