Woodstock Revisited is an invitation to do what people have been doing for over 200 years: take another look at Woodstock. The summer visitors of the 19th century and the artists and weekenders of the early 20th century beganthe trend of exploring the Woodstock area. Eventually; many who revisited Woodstock time and again decided to pull up roots and make this small upstate New York town their permanent home. In todays world; Woodstock has becomea refuge for a new generation of people looking for a balance between the rural; physical landscape of Woodstock and the benefits of nearby metropolitan areas.

ArnoldMy father was a hotel bus-boy at one of the major Chautauqua Institute hotels during the Depression. helping generate money to allow him to continue his college education. His mother lived there until her death in 1968. Seeing these photos. matching the great collection of pictures to my dads stories. brings it all back home to me. even though hes been gone since 1969. I can still turn pages. feel his arm come over my shoulder and point to something on the next page. and hear his detailed explanation of what Im seeing.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Remarkable Story. very liberally illustrated.By The WizardRemarkable Story. very liberally illustrated. We are just back from our second visit (6th week. Vanishing theme 2015). Strictly "Camp for Adults". Last year. like a lot of newbies. we went crazy trying to attend everything (which you cant do). This year I was more selective. treated it like a vacation with daily TED talks. Had a great time.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
