A window into todays Cherokee mindsetBy ann sheehanA great source for learning about contemporary Cherokees and how they are keeping their traditions alive as told in an authentic voice. I recommend you pick up this endearing little book whose size belies its depth of information before it sells out. The liars jump right out of the page and into your heart.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. An Intriguing Introduction to Cherokee CultureBy Craig jacksonThis book was my first interaction with Native American culture at large. It offers a really interesting look into the stories and traditions that shape Cherokee worldview. The authors candid style makes for easy reading as he works to preserve the conversational tone the contributors had throughout the book. I read this for a class. and for me it was an interesting and engaging way to get to know some of the thoughts behind Native American (particularly Cherokee) beliefs.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I loved this bookBy Arminda MoralesI loved this book. I found it captivated me and drew me into this world of a tribes oral history. From the beginning of where the Cherokee people came from to where they are as a tribe today. I think it was an awesome storytelling book and the 4 storytellers are a Cherokee treasure....bravo for keeping their stories alive and passing them on to their children....loved this book
