Great photos; amazing people and life.By OakOne of the things I most love about this book are the photographs. There are tons of them and they really bring alive the people and the stories. I was surprised at how long the Pike Peak area has been inhabited and the wide variety of nations that lived and traveled through the area. Also fascinating is the spiritual importance of the area. The author paints a vivid picture of what the area and inhabitants were like and you can almost see the trails through the mountain passes; and the herds of elk and other game. This is a part of history many of us hear little about; but it is rich and vibrant.
