Description

The Tigress in the Snow. GodwinAnother excellent book of arrangements by Brent Edstrom. and just in time to enjoy for Christmas! I already have 15 of the other books in this series. and this one is already in my "top 5" of the series. There were only 5 songs I did not know in this book (28 total songs). but I am enjoying learning and enjoying the new ones as well. A few additional songs may not be familiar to others (e.g.. We Need a Little Christmas. Suzy Snowflake). but are familiar to me.This book is slightly more challenging than the Volume 25 "Christmas Songs" book due to a few songs with harder keys and a few complex passages. but the improvisation bridges. richer chords. and more complex sections/rhythms make these arrangements more enjoyable to me. and most of the songs are fairly easy to sight read for an intermediate to early advanced pianist. There are a number of different of styles in this book (swing. stride. boogie. ballad. gospel). which also add variety. I was glad to see a few of the "Rudolph movie" songs included in the selection (Silver and Gold. The Most Wonderful Day of the Year). The songs are included on one of the product images (back cover). but I have included them below for easier reading.I highly recommend this book. and hope you will enjoy it as much as I do if you decide to purchase. The full list of songs are:All I Want for Christmas Is YouAll I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front TeethAuld Lang SyneBaby.
