This is Downes second biography of Wren and he brings a fresh and revealing perspective into the life of this fascinating figure. The various interested parties that attempted to affect the design of Saint Pauls cathedral would have prevented it from ever being built by their squabbling. A very good study in how to get things done when dealing with many voices.
