This book is filled with his words; which is enough by itself to make the work interesting. His knowledge of so many things was very impressive; especially considering the time he lived. There was so much ignorance in that time; but Leonardo required more evidence than most before he bought into what anyone was "selling". He was much more than a great fine artist; and some of the multi-dimensional talent that he had can be gleaned from the pages in this book.
