(Applause Books). To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Reduced Shakespeare Companys classic farce; two of its original writer/performers (Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield) have thoroughly revised the show to bring it up to date for 21st-century audiences; incorporating some of the funniest material from the numerous amateur and professional productions that have been performed around the world. The cultural touchstone that is The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) was born when three inspired; charismatic comics; having honed their pass-the-hat act at Renaissance fairs; premiered their preposterous masterwork at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1987. It quickly became a worldwide phenomenon; earning the title of Londons second-longest-running comedy after a decade at the Criterion Theatre. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) is one of the worlds most frequently produced plays; and has been translated into several dozen languages. Featured are all 37 of Shakespeares plays; meant to be performed in 97 minutes; by three actors. Fast paced; witty; and physical; its full of laughter for Shakespeare lovers and haters alike.

I never went to fashion school but I have been designing and selling gowns for over five years. I am also an artist; but have never been very good at the human form; more or less the hands and feet; and the direction of the body. What I like the most about this book is the variety of templates. This book has tons of templates and ideas. They have men; children; and women forms. It shows how to put movement into the body to make a more effective fashion sketch. Also very detailed instructions on hat and shoe design; if you would like that. This book is perfect for anyone like me; who just needs the proper guidance in making a detailed fashion sketch. I originally purchased this book to aid in a desgin contest; so I could have more competetive drawings. I was unable to meet the deadline; but after reading and practicing with this book I feel much more confident with my sketching. I am not someone who likes to trace but the book has dark enough lines to do some tracing if youd like; (or makes great copies for practice.)Overall; I think I decided on a great find; I know I will have and use this book for years. I can now put my ideas on paper without being embarrassed to show them! I love it!3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!By RoxanneThis book is terrible.. the croquis provided are not usable. Im a fashion major and I was so upset when I received this book in the mail. The female croquis look like line backers with ridiculously thick necks and weird faces. I showed this book to my professor and he laughed. He said everyone has their own style of croquis/fashion sketches. Since he laughed I knew it was bad! I WILL NOT BE using this book for its how to anything! I was expecting something amazing or high fashion and I got this instead. My fashion croquis look better then the ones in this book. A waste of my money.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Wonky drawingsBy NatashaI purchased this book to save time drawing figures when sketching ideas for garments. Unfortunately the fashion figures in this book are just not very good. I know fashion figures are supposed to be stylized but these models are stiff and top heavy. The males have a curious lack of hips often coupled by an unusual medical condition by which they are without any distinct waist. The women dont suffer from hiplessness; however both sexes lack butts. Yes I know; they are supposed to be skinny runway models; but their chests are pretty well built; and their lower halves look disproportionately meager by comparison. I think the book will still be useful for poses; but only standing and walking ones; as there are no seated or reclining models. I was hoping for a little more variety.
