Universal Studios never really wanted to get into the theme park business. They wanted to be the anti-Disney. But when forced to do so; they did it in a big way. Despite the fits and starts of multiple owners; the parks have finally gained the momentum to mount a serious challenge to the Walt Disney Company. How did this happen? Who made it happen? What does this mean for the theme park industry? In Universal Versus Disney; his newest work to investigate the histories of Americas favorite theme parks; seasoned Disney-author Sam Gennawey has thoroughly researched how Universal Studios shook up the multi-billion dollar theme park industry; one so long dominated by Walt Disney and his legacy.

I have to agree it looks like it will be extremely helpful in improving my drawings.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Great way to learn anatomyBy Davin ErgunI had to purchase this book for an anatomy class in art school and I definitely like it better than other "strait" artistic anatomy books. It shows amazing artwork from historical art masters; with accompanying "traces" of key areas; pointing out the muscle groups they show; giving you a perfect example of how to apply anatomical knowledge in art. Plus it has all the standard anatomical charts as well. Really great book. Even if its not required reading I would highly recommend it if you want to improve your artistic anatomy.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. The MastersBy BradThe imagery in this book is excellent. One does not have to travel to all the museums that contain the artwork in order to appreciate the work of the Renaissance. There is detailed bone structures and profiles as well as musculature in the appendix of the book. The book is not as detailed in anatomical references as the work of Raynes; but it is definitely a better one than "Human Anatomy ... Elements of Form" book that I returned. The book is much more affordable for those who want to be frugal with their purchases.
