BradleyThis book offers one the chance to look at what these very good artist do before the do their very good work. There are clues here for the rest of us. The book is organized by artist name; with several pages written by the artist themselves along with photos of their journal or sketch book pages. These are so enjoyable. For visual learners; These peeks are worth a thousand words. The comments by the artists are enriching in other ways; not just "how to"; they describe their creative habits; and where they find their joy. It is important to do something; anything; and let it go where it may.This message comes through loud and strong with both these books. This is not a "How To" book but...By With Brush in HandI have both Sketchbook 1 and Sketchbook 2 and I love them both. I am fairly new to sketchbooking but certainly not to painting;I do both oils and watercolor. These books will open your eyes to all sorts of your visual experiences; not just grand tours of Europe but everyday scenes in your own backyard. Either of these books will introduce you to a whole new world just waiting to be painted.
