I have never tried soldering before and I learned how through the demonstrations in this book. There were many other things I was able to make from this book and it started a whole new world of creativity for me. It has given me the confidence I needed to branch out and explore new types of art. The illustrations creative ideas are artistically delicious!By CarolizeThis book is definitely not a beginners book as I would consider many of the art objects requiring a wide range of textures (i.e. beeswax. glass. soldering. sheet metal. etc.) to be a creative challenge. However. the colorful illustrations and creative ideas are artistically delicious! As a baby boomer. I am extremely fortunate to have an extensive collection of vintage family photos and ephemera passed down to me by my mother. This book just isnt for me. Too many of the projects look so similar. appearing as old antique-y stuff you might find in your basement or grandmothers attic. I think a little of this goes a long way. and would have liked to see more variety.
