OverallBy Margaret HelselIve been recommending the 6th edition of this book to students in my "Basic Photography" adult ed. classes for years and was eager to see the updated 7th edition. My only complaint is that the 7th is almost identical to the 6th--the updates are minimal and should; I think; have included more parts of the book. Also; the book discusses film as well as digital; and some of my digital-shooter students find this slightly annoying. Overall; though; its quite a good book for beginners.-Bill Helsel0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Langfords Starting PhotographyBy T. L. SmithThis book is an excellent resource for the beginning and experienced photographers.I only have one issue; the font is difficult to read. Its much too small. I understand to make it larger you would add a lot of pages. This wouldnt be an issue for most people.
