It states that it turns a scenography approach into a cinematographic one. It does. I found it revealing in its general theme and in its details. The different (and very different) sections; are each full of fascinating details and unexpected connections between film; architecture; philosophy; art etc. Sometimes; it goes too far and the author lets his range of knowledge get in the way of a clear argument. But the range of subjects linked into the overall theme is impressive. Its very well and clearly written despite using some obscure references - and the footnotes are useful in explaining some theoretic concepts and technical issues. Its equally about film and architecture and doesnt seem to favour one or the other. Well worth the time (and sometimes difficulty) in reading.
