I like that each number is presented as you open the book so that there is one number per two pages which leaves a lot of space for the illustrations as well as large print. Each number is followed by an illustrated garden that "grows" as you progress through numbers 1-12; 1 onion. 2 turnips.and continues through 12 tulips ending with a spectacular garden. The book is heavy duty and built to last possibility through to your childrens children. The book is easy to handle and fun to read. Grandma was extremely appreciative of the illustrations and the delight the neice expressed.
