A Compelling Memoir.By Tracy NieporentThis is one of those books that will probably be consigned at this point to the dustpan of history. and that would be a shame. It is a first rate read. both with compelling anecdotes about Richard Nixon. and regarding Mr. Garments own personal history. There is very good storytelling here. from someone who was there when important history was being made. Garment was not someone who tried to bring attention to himself. and therefore his name is not easily remembered. This book brings new information to accounts of the Nixon record. that are incomplete without it.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. MorrisA well written account of a relatively minor player.but an interesting player in many fields.A secular Jew working with Nixon.in a Catskills jazz band with Alan Greenspan and making it on Wall Street makes a pretty good story
