Crochet for Kids: Sweaters for Infants; Girls; and Boys

[audiobook] Crochet for Kids: Sweaters for Infants; Girls; and Boys by Ann E. Smith in Arts-Photography

Description

Roger Ebert wrote the first film review that director Martin Scorsese ever receivedmdash;for 1967rsquo;s I Call First; later renamed Whorsquo;s That Knocking at My Doormdash;creating a lasting bond that made him one of Scorsesersquo;s most appreciative and perceptive commentators. Scorsese by Ebert offers the first record of Americarsquo;s most respected film criticrsquo;s engagement with the works of Americarsquo;s greatest living director; chronicling every single feature film in Scorsesersquo;s considerable oeuvre; from his aforementioned debut to his 2008 release; the Rolling Stones documentary Shine a Light. In the course of eleven interviews done over almost forty years; the book also includes Scorsesersquo;s own insights on both his accomplishments and disappointments. Ebert has also written and included six new reconsiderations of the directorrsquo;s less commented upon films; as well as a substantial introduction that provides a framework for understanding both Scorsese and his profound impact on American cinema."Given their career-long back-and-forth; this collection makes perfect sense. . . . In these reconsiderations; Ebert invites us into his thought processes; letting us see not just what he thinks; but how he forms his opinions. Ebertrsquo;s insights into Scorsese are terrific; but this book offers the bonus of further insights into Ebert himself."mdash;Time Out Chicago"Ebert; film critic for the Chicago Sun-Times; is an unabashed fan of Scorsese; whom he considers lsquo;the most gifted director of his generation.rsquo; . . . Of special note are interviews with Scorsese over a 25-year period; in which the director candidly discusses his body of work."mdash;Publishers Weekly

A lot of kids crochet books focus on styles for little girls -- but this one has several real winners for little boys. The designs are unique and really cool. Theyre cute without being "cutesy." Your children will not be ridiculed by their classmates when they show up in the outfits you made them from this book. Theyre not "dated" -- if you bought this to make things for your kids. youll probably still be able to use it for your grandkids. Beautiful pictures show every detail. which is important if youre like me -- I rely more on the pictures to tell me what to do than the instructions/patterns.4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Sent this one backBy DiplochickThis book includes sweaters that *look* like you made them. Almost every pattern has sleeves that are very visably attached to the blocky body of a sweater. The designs are outdated and the finished products dont even look that great in the book.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. QUICK AND EASYBy becca8688ANY CHILD WOULD LOVE THESE ITEMS. IT IS VERY EASY TO READ AND UNDERSTAND. I CANT DECIDE WHICH PROJECT TO CROCHET FIRST. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT FOR YOUR CROCHET LIBRARY.
