(Applause Books). This enduring biography of the popular writer begins with Ferbers last years in New York City; exploring the setting in which she did all of her great writing. Diaries; copious correspondence; and the cooperation of distinguished living friends have resulted in a rich portrait of a period and a literary circle not yet fully documented; and an insightful engaging analysis of a woman writer highly influential in the shaping of twentieth century America.

There are conversations with famous dancers one being Baryshnikov. Who she calls Misha. But more importantly there I is sound advice for maintaining your health. I am not a novice when it comes to ballet nor was I ever a prima ballerina . I only took 10 years of lessons as an adult. But I do know that it can add artistry to anyones life. Before my husband died he built me a ballet Barre and my ballet discipline helped me to survive and thrive.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Im becoming a ballet fanatic!By PianistThe more I get into ballet the more I love it. This book has good information for a dancer who wants to get their body into shape for better dancing. Its honest about how extreme some dancers get. but it always encourages a healthy balance and moderation as the way to succeed. Ive been applying the principles and have been feeling better and have had more energy to go dance!1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. goodBy kierra ladon williamsDidnt really have what I was looking for but it was insightful.
